Shou Sugi Ban

Shou Sugi Ban is a Japanese term that means Charred, also known as Yakishugi.

An ancient Japanese technique that produces blackened charred wood through a flaming process that chars the wood on the outer surface.

The surface is then wire brushed.

It is resistant to the elements and is appropriate for both interior and exterior applications.

Charred wood can serve as a fire retardant, since it lacks the oils needed to ignite a flame.

Shou Sugi Ban surfaces last for many Generations. Plus they look incredible!
